I know of a few couples that are snow birds. Only we are from Michigan and so are they. My friends from church do head down to Florida to get away from the Michigan winter and come back in the spring. But another couple comes down here to lower, lower Michigan in the winter and goes up to northern Michigan for the summer. I used to live in the upper part of lower Michigan when I was younger and I remember the winters were rough. I have another couple that goes down to lower Texas for the winter and then comes back here for the summers.
