Farm stories bring back a lot of memories for me as I grew up on three different farms. Myself, I remember being out in the barn helping my dad feed the cattle and clean out behind the cows when they did their jobs while in line to be milked. I also remember cleaning out the calf pens of all the straw and you know what. The part I liked was feeling the calves with the bucket with the nipple on the side then I would slip that out and the calf would suck on my finger, that felt weird. But I really liked being out there in the barn or in the field bailing hay or straw with my dad. My Dad is gone now, July 19 2008 will be 15 years. I still charish those memories with him and I always will. I would be out helping my Dad and my brother would be in the house helping mom cook. My brother still likes to cook, but now so do I.
