  Looking out this window you are looking at the ocean. The little specks are people play, swimming in the ocean off Waikiki beach. Waikiki beach is a white sandy beach not naturally made, it is a man made beach.Waikiki Beach used to be swamp land and rice paddies. With the landfill coming from California, Hong Kong, and the other Hawaiian Islands along with the other side of Oahu. Using this fill and sand Waikiki Beach was born. Today it is a very busy beach. I saw sunbathers, skateboarders, surfers and bicycles with surfboards tied to them. Waikiki Beach is a very nice beach. Oahu is the most visited island of the Hawaiian chain. Waikiki beach is only 1 1/2 miles long. |
