  This was taken on Kahului on the island of Maui. The Iao Valley is Hawaii's rainforest. The Iao Needle used to be the lookout point for the warriors during the war. The needle is 2250 feet tall. This is the second wettest spot on the Hawaiian islands. It recieves an averave of 400 inches a year. The needle is a volcanic plug between to cliffs. |
