Missouri Battleship

The USS Missouri Battleship is parked on battleship row. This is where the Japanese surrendered to the United States and ended World War II. This ship is 58000 ton and 887 ft long, or three football fields long and 20 stories tall. On Sept 2, 1945 was the last time the battleships were built by the US Navy. The Mighty Mo was used in the Gulf War then retired in 1992. In 1999 The Missouri was towed to the spot where is is located today. Pearl Harbor got it's name from the oyster pearls that are found in the harbor.
